We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Band 7 Locum Physiotherapist specializing in elderly care to join our team at Croydon Healthcare Services. The ideal candidate must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and possess demonstrable acute experience across medicine and elder rehabilitation.
This role involves delivering high-quality physiotherapy services to elderly patients, assessing their needs, developing and implementing treatment plans, and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate the physiotherapy needs of elderly patients with complex health conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessment and evidence-based practice.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary.
- Collaborate with medical and nursing staff to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Educate patients and their families on rehabilitation processes, self-management techniques, and prevention of future injuries.
- Supervise and mentor junior physiotherapists and support staff in clinical practice.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to case discussions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and professional standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must be registered with the HCPC as a Physiotherapist.
- Relevant qualification in Physiotherapy (BSc or MSc).
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in acute care and elderly rehabilitation.
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrable experience in managing complex cases.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
