About the role
We are looking for a Finance Officer to join our client, a local council in Eastern Melbourne. This is a part-time, hybrid role with an ASAP start. It’s a great chance to get hands‑on in a busy finance team, with the potential to move into a permanent position for the right person.

- Review utilities bills for anomalies such as unusual usage, duplicate charges or billing errors, and follow them up with suppliers until they’re resolved
- Complete monthly reconciliations, including utilities accruals and creditor accounts, and investigate any variances
- Keep accurate records and supporting documents so month‑end closes smoothly and audit requests are easy to answer
- Be the go‑to contact for internal teams and suppliers on utilities queries, responding quickly and keeping everyone updated
About you
