The Astor Hotel Albury is looking for an energetic, experienced hospitality manager/supervisor to assist the licensee and Hotel Manager with the operation of the hotel.
Experience in fast paced + high volume pubs is key to what we are looking for as well as a passion and understanding for restaurant quality food and the ability to direct staff and patrons during the busy service periods.
The Astor is one of Australia's most iconic regional hotels. Boasting a large beer garden, a sports lovers dream sports bar, outdoor garden bar and highly occupied 50+ room motel, it ticks all the boxes for a motivated and driven individual.
The ability to develop and work with a great team, lead from the front, where your ideas and knowledge is welcomed and encouraged is key.
As part of this role the ability to control stock, supervise and direct all hotel staffwill also form part of your responsibilities.
Weekend and evening work is part of this role.

Some of the roles and responsibilities include:
- Contribute to the Creation of the faced paced cocktail lists
- Understand current trends and popularity in craft beer and spirits
- A knowledge of wines and other bar products and efficient productive service
- Train, and maintain consistency and lead a young team in a fast paced environment
- Maintain hotel standards with staff presentation, grooming and appearance
- Develop opening and closing procedures for both bars and bistro
- Writing rosters to ensure labour costs are controlled
- Cashieringat end of shift.
- Contribute to regular beverage list changes and promotions
- Oversee and contribute to cleanliness of bars and bar areas
- Be a key employee in developing staff culture and by leading from the front.
- An awareness and knowledge of Bistro and function operations
- Participate and contribute to management meetings
Gaming Room
- Grow gaming patronage through customer service
- Ensure room presentation is immaculate at all times
- All customer service initiatives are being executed
- In tandem with Hotel Manager, review machine performance and recommend accordingly
- Ensure the safety of staff and patrons at all times
- Understand, enforce and contribute to labour efficiency and control
- Supervise the regular cleaning of the hotel and direct additional cleaning as required
Remuneration
Evening and weekend work is mandatory
Starting Salary: $80,000- per annum (Plus super) (negotiable upto $90k based on CV, experience and references)
