Proterra Group is looking for a Civil Designer to join our growing Civil Engineering team.
Working alongside our RPEQ Engineering Team, you’ll deliver practical civil designs for projects across regional Queensland, including roads, intersections, subdivisions, drainage, water and wastewater infrastructure, floodways and community facilities.

What you’ll work on:
No two projects will be quite the same.
- Residential and industrial subdivisions across regional Queensland
- Roads and intersection upgrades
- Floodway’s, drainage and pipe crossings
- Infrastructure designed to improve accessibility during flooding
- Regional waste facility upgrades
- Commercial and Local Government developments
You’ll have the opportunity to be involved beyond the design desk, working with our engineers and project teams and seeing projects progress from concept and detailed design through to construction.
About you:
We’re looking for someone who enjoys solving practical engineering problems and takes pride in producing high-quality, constructible designs.
Ideally, you’ll bring:
- Strong experience using AutoCAD and 12d Model
- A relevant qualification in civil engineering or civil design, or equivalent industry experience
- A practical approach to developing fit-for-purpose designs
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with engineers, project managers and clients
Experience in roads, subdivisions, drainage, water infrastructure or Local Government projects would be highly regarded.
You don’t need to know everything. You’ll have support from our experienced engineers, while still having plenty of opportunity to take ownership of your work and help us continually improve how we deliver our designs.
