Protech are currently seeking Field Officers to work from the Burleigh Depot with the Fire Ant Program through Biosecurity Queensland starting on 5/8/2026. This is an ongoing position and will require thorough and effective surveillance and treatment of insect pests through Southern Queensland.

Key Duties:
- Visual surveillance and bait treatment for insects
- Daily reporting tasks, data collection and record keeping
- Driving Company vehicle
Mandatory Position Requirements:
- Open car licence
- MUST have outdoor work experience in Landscaping, Agriculture, Arboriculture, Land Management and Conservation, Civil - Hiking or Bushwalking recreationally
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Face to Face customer service experience
- Must be physically fit as the role requires substantial walking through challenging terrain up to 10 - 15klm per day
- Pass a drug and alcohol screen
- Must be able to complete and pass a Police check
