ProSolar Australia is seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrician to join our team in Byron Bay, NSW. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our mission to deliver high-quality solar electrical installations and maintenance services. As an Electrician, you will be at the forefront of our operations, ensuring that every project is completed to the highest standards of safety, quality and professionalism. Your expertise will directly contribute to the success of our clients and the reputation of ProSolar Australia within the local community and beyond.
Key responsibilities
Install, maintain and repair electrical solar systems, wiring, equipment and fixtures in residential and commercial properties
Conduct thorough diagnostic testing and troubleshooting of electrical problems using appropriate tools and equipment
Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics and technical drawings to ensure accurate installations
Ensure all work complies with relevant electrical codes, regulations and safety standards
Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems
Collaborate with other tradespeople and team members on job sites to ensure coordinated and efficient project completion
Document all work completed and maintain accurate records of materials used and time spent on each project
Respond promptly to service calls and emergency electrical issues
Assist with mentoring and supporting apprentices and junior team members where applicable
What we're looking for
Current and valid Australian electrical licence relevant to your state of operation
Proven experience working as an electrician in residential, commercial or industrial settings
Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations and industry best practices
Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment, hand tools and power tools
Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, blueprints and technical documentation
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Physical fitness and ability to work at heights, in confined spaces and in various weather conditions
A commitment to health and safety in all aspects of work
Valid driver's licence for travel between job sites
Preferred: Experience with solar electrical installations or renewable energy systems
Preferred: Knowledge of energy-efficient electrical solutions
