The client delivers a program of grant-funded capital works, mainly funded by the Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants Program: town centre upgrades, active transport links and associated civil works across the Blue Mountains villages.

As Project Manager, you will manage individual projects through delivery, keep risk registers and reporting current, and support the Superintendent's Representative on site.

Likely projects

  • Town centre upgrades: streetscapes, paving, kerb and gutter, lighting, street furniture and landscaping
  • Active transport: shared paths, footpaths, cycleways, pedestrian crossings and links to railway stations
  • Associated civil works: stormwater drainage, retaining walls, car parks, road and intersection works

Key responsibilities

  • Attend site with the grant body and councillors and support grant reporting
  • Develop and maintain project risk registers
  • Support site supervision, contractor coordination, variations and claims
  • Contribute to Lessons Learned workshops and Post Implementation Review reports

Essential

  • Degree in civil engineering or construction / project management
  • 10+ years managing civil infrastructure projects, including recent NSW projects to TfNSW or council standards
  • Experience managing contractors on road, drainage or urban civil works

Desirable

  • Local government or grant-funded capital works experience
  • Footpath, shared path or streetscape projects
  • AS4000 contract administration experience; PMP, AIPM or PRINCE2

Engagement

This is a part-time, as-required subcontract role (ABN), with work released project by project. Engagement is subject to contract award. Work is expected to start in January 2027 and run through 2027, under a panel term to December 2028. Desk-based tasks can be done remotely, with regular site attendance in the Blue Mountains.

All applicants must have the right to work in Australia and relevant recent NSW experience. A current White Card and a full driver licence are required.
