The business offers a diverse range of investment solutions spanning private equity, private credit, real estate and alternative investments, alongside traditional asset classes.

Its offering includes income-generating credit strategies, asset-backed lending, real estate debt and equity investments, providing private wealth advisers and their clients with access to a broad range of investment opportunities.

The Opportunity

This role will support a national team of Business Development Managers responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with financial advisers, dealer groups and wealth management intermediaries across Australia.

Working across a diverse product suite, with a particular focus on private markets and alternative investment strategies, you will gain exposure to a broad range of investment solutions and develop a strong understanding of how these are positioned within client portfolios.

While the position provides essential support to the BDM team, it also involves direct engagement with financial advisers and HNW investors, requiring confidence, maturity and the ability to establish credibility with clients.

The business is open to candidates with 1–2 years of relevant experience seeking a pathway into a BDM position, as well as more experienced professionals who enjoy the BDA function and are seeking a long-term opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the national wholesale distribution team in developing and maintaining relationships with financial advisers and wealth management intermediaries.
  • Engage directly with financial advisers, providing investment product information and responding to client enquiries.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the firm's investment strategies, particularly across private credit, real estate and alternative assets.
  • Assist BDMs with adviser meetings, investment presentations, roadshows and client events.
  • Prepare investment materials, product updates and supporting documentation for adviser engagement.
  • Identify and follow up business development opportunities across the national adviser network.
  • Maintain CRM records, distribution pipelines and reporting to support the team's sales activities.
  • Collaborate with investment, marketing and operations teams to ensure a high standard of client service.

Skills & Experience

  • Ideally 1–2 years of experience within financial services, investment management, wealth management or a related client-facing environment.

More experienced candidates are equally encouraged to apply.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence, maturity and gravitas to engage with financial advisers and senior investment professionals.
  • A genuine interest in financial markets, investment products and portfolio construction.
  • An interest in private markets, particularly private equity, private credit, real estate and alternative investment strategies.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • A proactive and commercially minded approach with a willingness to take ownership and initiative.
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a national distribution team while building independent client relationships.
