SALARY - $90,000 - $110,000 per annum, dependent on experience

My client is a small engineering and design company looking for an Industrial Designer to join their team in Adelaide. This is an opportunity to work on varied design projects, with a strong focus on product development and plastic injection moulding.
The Industrial Designer will ideally have the following attributes:
- Experience in Industrial Design, Product Design or a similar role
- Experience with plastic injection moulding is essential
- Strong 3D CAD skills and the ability to produce detailed technical drawings
- Understanding of product design principles, materials and manufacturing processes
- Experience designing products from concept through to production
- Ability to design products with manufacturing methods and requirements in mind
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Able to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a small team
The Industrial Designer role will involve:
- Developing product concepts and turning them into practical designs
- Creating and modifying 3D CAD models and technical drawings
- Designing components suitable for plastic injection moulding
- Working closely with engineers and other stakeholders throughout the design process
- Considering materials, tooling and manufacturing requirements during product development
- Supporting the transition of designs from concept through to production
- Updating designs and documentation as required
- Working within a small engineering and design team on varied projects
