We’re looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join a business in Perth's CBD on a maternity leave contract from October 2026 through to July 2027. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working as part of a team, is confident across payroll processes and has strong attention to detail.
Working alongside the Senior Payroll Officers, you’ll provide support across the running of fortnightly and monthly payrolls, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Processing and managing PAYG and Child Support
- Managing novated leases
- Assisting Senior Payroll Officers with fortnightly and monthly payrolls
- Completing payroll reconciliations
- Payroll checking and quality assurance
- Supporting the wider payroll team with day-to-day queries and processes
- Ensuring payroll data is accurate and compliant
About you

- Experienced across end-to-end payroll processes
- Highly confident with Excel
- Detail-oriented with strong attention to accuracy

- Adaptable and comfortable working in a changing environment

Desirable experience

- Mining industry experience
- Experience working across multiple rosters
