Finance Manager (full-time or part-time)
Love sport? Love finance? Why not combine the two?!
About us
We are a leading creator, manager and distributor of premium sports content, working with more than 600 broadcasters globally and boasting a content library of over 2,000 hours. With teams in Melbourne, London and the US, we work across markets and time zones to bring great sporting content to audiences around the world.
We're passionate about what we do, proud of the business we've built, and always looking for ways to do things better.
The role
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a proactive and driven Finance Manager to join our team. Based at our office in South Melbourne, you’ll work closely with one of our Directors and our Bookkeeper, taking ownership of the day-to-day finance operations of the business. It’s a hands-on role for someone who enjoys getting into the detail as well while also contributing to the bigger picture.
Full time or part time (4 days/week) – we are flexible. We want to find the right person for the role and create an arrangement that works for both of us. So, whether you're looking for a full-time position or a part-time role that fits around life outside work, we'd love to hear from you.
What you’ll be doing
Working collaboratively with our Bookkeeper, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the overall finance function
- Managing month-end processes and delivering accurate, timely management reports
- Overseeing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Cashflow management
- Overseeing payroll processes for the Australian, US and UK teams
- Ad-hoc reporting
- Statutory reporting and compliance for Australia, US and UK
- Coordination of tax returns preparation with external accountants
- Supporting and managing our Bookkeeper, working together to keep the finance function running like clockwork
- Systems and process improvements – things work well as they are, but we love fresh perspective and ideas
About you
We are looking for someone who takes ownership, is practical and solutions-focused with a knack for making finance work for the business rather than just ticking boxes.
You’ll bring a collaborative approach and the confidence to suggest and implement improvements when you spot an opportunity. Ideally, we’d love:
- CA or CPA qualified with experience as a Finance Manager or Senior Accounting role
- Strong technical skills
- Comfortable working in a hands-on environment
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with Directors, Management colleagues and external advisors
- Resilient, proactive and solutions-focused
