Senior consultants to define, design and deliver OpenShift AI platform capabilities as standardised,

automated and scalable product offerings, helping the agency establish and mature its AI platform

The role gives technical leadership across enterprise AI platform engineering, turning

emerging AI capability into secure, reliable, production-ready services. It spans LLM-based solutions,

retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), AI agents, model evaluation and deployment pipelines.

Governance matters as much as delivery: consultants help onboard, fine-tune and evaluate models, and put controls in place for harmful content, bias, toxicity and other AI risks.

What you will do

  • Define and build CI/CD deployment pipelines for enterprise AI platform products
  • Design and deliver an enterprise AI gateway giving standardised access to approved models, with routing, authentication, policies and guardrails
  • Build and maintain an AI workload factory that automates provisioning of OpenShift AI resources and configuration for new workloads
  • Automate model onboarding, validation, deployment and promotion across DEV, TEST and PROD
  • Set up AI observability and monitoring, including dashboards, alerting, model performance metrics and GPU utilisation reporting
  • Develop and enforce AI security controls and guardrails through policy as code
  • Create reusable enterprise RAG services and deployment patterns
  • Develop AI application blueprints and templates for common use cases, including LLMs, RAG applications and AI agents
  • Deliver a standardised AI developer platform, with development environments, tools and connectivity to enterprise AI services
  • Implement AI usage, telemetry and cost management so model consumption and infrastructure use are visible

Must-haves

  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering enterprise platform products and reusable
  • Strong experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes and cloud-native platform engineering
  • Building and managing CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation
  • Knowledge of AI and ML platforms, model lifecycle management and deployment processes
  • Implementing monitoring, observability and operational support frameworks
  • Understanding of enterprise security, governance, policy enforcement and compliance controls
  • Developing platform standards, templates and self-service capabilities for engineering teams
  • Strong stakeholder engagement across technical and business teams
  • Highly desirable: experience with LLMs, RAG architectures and AI application development.

Broader skills we will consider

  • OpenShift or Kubernetes platform engineers with hands-on MLOps or AI platform exposure on
  • Platform engineers who have run GPU workloads on Kubernetes (NVIDIA GPU Operator, scheduling, utilisation reporting) or served models with vLLM, KServe or similar
  • Engineers who have built API gateways, policy-as-code (OPA, Gatekeeper, Kyverno) or self-service platform templates, paired with real AI or ML delivery
  • ML or AI engineers with strong Kubernetes and CI/CD skills who can build RAG services and
  • Complementary pairs, for example a platform engineer and an AI engineer, are worth discussing
