  • Measure and calculate dimensions, lettering sizes and layouts for accurate production.
  • Print, plot, cut, weed, laminate and trim signage materials.
  • Fabricate and finish signage for shopfronts, buildings, commercial displays and other applications, including dimensional and custom signs.
  • Prepare surfaces, then apply vinyl lettering, decals and graphics to substrates including metal, glass, plastic, timber and composite panels.
  • Carry out partial and full vehicle wraps and vehicle graphics.
  • Install signage and graphics on site at client premises and vehicles.
  • Produce specialty signage such as hand-finished, painted or decorative work where required.
  • Inspect completed work for accuracy, quality and compliance with approved artwork.
  • Maintain sign-making tools and equipment, and follow workplace health and safety procedures.

About you:

  • Certificate III in Signs and Graphics (or a relevant equivalent trade qualification) with on-the-job training, OR a Certificate IV in a relevant field, OR at least three years of experience working as a Signwriter.
  • Demonstrated experience in commercial signwriting, sign making or signage production.
  • Proven experience with vinyl preparation, cutting and application, including vehicle graphics and wrapping.
  • Experience using computer-based design and sign production equipment (e.g. vinyl cutters, large-format printers, laminators, laser cutter, CNC machine).
  • Practical knowledge of signage materials, substrates, surface preparation and finishing techniques.
  • Ability to read artwork, measurements and specifications accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and in a team to production deadlines.
  • Driver's licence.
  • White Card and working-at-heights ticket, or willingness to obtain them.
  • Experience with sign design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Coreldraw or FlexiSIGN.
