Join the HR & Compliance team of a trusted national brand, in a role where you'll get to the bottom of what's really happening across our sites and see it through to a fix.

About the company

We are a well-established and rapidly growing automotive services business with a large national network of over 100 locations across Australia. The business has a strong customer-focused culture and provides a range of vehicle care and maintenance services, with a focus on quality, convenience and delivering a consistent customer experience across its expanding network.

About the role

Reporting to the Head of HR & Compliance, you'll review HR and payroll records across our corporate and franchise sites, connect the dots between them, and turn what you find into clear, consistent messaging. From there, you'll work directly with operators to resolve issues, support any corrections, and hold them accountable for getting it done. The role is mostly office desk-based, with site visits to audit, investigate and monitor.

What you'll be doing

  • Reviewing employment, time and attendance, and payroll documents to identify gaps and inconsistencies
  • Checking compliance with Fair Work, the NES, and Awards
  • Explaining findings to operators clearly, and agreeing on what needs to change and by when
  • Supporting operators through corrections and following up until they're closed out
  • Preparing clear reports on findings, actions, and outcomes
  • Visiting sites as needed to review records and meet operators in person
  • Become a subject matter expert on our built in house HRIS system and drive uptake.

About you

  • You understand HR fundamentals, such as employment records, Awards, and how HR and payroll fit together
  • You're detail-oriented and notice when the numbers and the paperwork don't match
  • You build rapport easily, and can still have a direct conversation when it's needed
  • You manage stakeholders confidently and follow through until you get a result
  • Backgrounds in HR, Payroll, Compliance and Finance all considered
  • Unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence and reliable vehicle for site visits
  • Hindi language skills highly desirable to effectively communicate with operators and team members

What's on offer

  • 14 month contract starting in December 2026
  • A role with real ownership in a national brand with exciting growth plans
  • Mentoring from an experienced HR & Compliance team
  • Career progression opportunities
  • Variety, with a mix of analysis, stakeholder work, and time on site
