The role is a full-time contract position based in Brisbane, with hybrid working, for a minimum of 3 months and an outlook to extend. You’ll work across a variety of projects, understanding what our clients and internal stakeholders need, defining clear requirements, and supporting the delivery team to build the right solution on time and within budget.
What you’ll do:
- Elicit, analyse and document business and technical requirements through workshops, interviews and process reviews.
- Map current and future-state processes, and identify gaps, risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Write clear business requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria, and keep them current as scope evolves.
- Work with technical consultants and project team members to make sure solutions meet the agreed requirements.
- Support the Prescience project methodology across every phase: Commencement & Confirm, Architect & Design, Configure & Construct, Validate & Iterate, Deploy & Deliver, and Operate & Enhance.
- Plan and support testing and user acceptance, and help resolve issues and defects.
- Monitor project progress against the agreed plan, and provide weekly updates on status, timelines, risks and issues.
- Track estimated versus actual hours and cost, and contribute to traffic-light reporting.
- Identify scope changes early, assess their impact, and raise variations when required.
- Escalate issues and propose practical solutions to keep projects on track.
- Support client communication from kick-off through to certificate of acceptance and project close-out.
- Build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders, and keep communication clear and timely.
- Prepare handover and training material to support go-live and project close-out.
- Make sure time is entered accurately into WFM.
About you:
- Proven experience as a Project Analyst, Business Analyst or similar role, ideally in a technology or professional services environment.
- Strong requirements gathering, process mapping and documentation skills.
- Confident facilitating workshops and communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Analytical and detail-focused, with a practical, solutions-oriented approach.
- Comfortable working across multiple projects and managing competing priorities.
- A collaborative team player who enjoys helping others do their best work.
- BA or project qualification such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, PRINCE2 or Agile is desirable.
- Familiarity with Oracle or database technology is advantageous but not essential.
