Given our strong business growth and expansion, we have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced and reliable Yardperson to join our busy depot located in Rocklea, QLD.
Duties
The main duties and responsibilities of the role include:
- Thorough washing/cleaning of the Brisbane-based fleet of fuel trucks on a daily basis
- Ensuring the wash bay and surrounding yard is kept clean and tidy
- Moving trucks around the yard
- Collecting items for the workshop or office
- Other appropriate duties as instructed by your immediate supervisor
Skills and Experience
You must possess a strong sense of urgency with an "I will make it happen" attitude to get the job done. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Previous vehicle washer / wash bay experience
- Has a valid Driver’s Licence - a Heavy Vehicle HR Licence is required
- A forklift licence is preferred but not essential to be considered for this role
- Can work unsupervised and can follow instructions
- Is self-motivated and takes pride in their work
- Is reliable and punctual and has excellent work ethic
- Works with a sense of urgency and is focused on providing the best possible service to our customers
- Has a stable work history and checkable work references
- Previous experience and success in a similar role will be highly regarded, however, the successful applicant will be appointed primarily based on attitude.
