Dental Receptionist (with Chairside Assisting) — Full-Time
Precision Dental is a general & cosmetic dental practice in Fortitude Valley, and we're looking for an experienced Dental Receptionist to join our team full-time (4–5 days/week). This is primarily a front-of-house role, greeting patients, managing bookings and the day-to-day running of reception, with some chairside assisting support when needed. You'll be working alongside 1 dentist and two oral health therapists in a close-knit, well-established practice.
Key responsibilities
Greeting and checking in patients, keeping the front desk running smoothly
Managing the appointment book, scheduling, confirmations, recalls and cancellations
Handling patient enquiries, phone and email correspondence
Processing payments, HICAPS/health fund claims and Medicare items
Maintaining accurate patient records in Exact PMS
Assisting dentists during procedures when reception coverage allows
Basic infection control and surgery set-up/pack-down
About you
Prior experience in a dental practice reception role is essential
Confident using dental practice management software (experience with Exact PMS highly regarded)
Strong phone manner and comfort managing a busy, sometimes competing set of priorities
Comfortable assisting chairside when required (training/support provided for this part if you're reception-strong but light on assisting)
