We're working with a growing supply chain organisation looking for an ERP professional to take ownership of its core business systems and lead a small support team during a period of development and transformation.

This role sits across technology and operations, working closely with stakeholders across Finance, Inventory, Warehousing, Supply Chain and Field Service to ensure systems run effectively and support the wider business. The business currently operates a legacy ERP environment and is preparing for a future ERP transformation. They’re open on the specific technology background and would consider someone from an ERP management, business analysis or project management background, provided they have the practical systems knowledge and willingness to get hands-on.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Taking ownership of the ERP and associated business applications, ensuring day-to-day stability and effective support
  • Leading a small team responsible for application support and issue resolution
  • Acting as a senior escalation point for system issues and coordinating external vendors and technical partners
  • Working with stakeholders across Finance, Warehousing, Inventory and Field Service to understand requirements and improve business processes
  • Identifying opportunities to improve workflows, reporting, data quality and operational efficiency
  • Coordinating system enhancements, requirements gathering, testing and change management
  • Contributing to the future ERP transformation, including process mapping, requirements gathering and solution evaluation

What they’re looking for:

  • Experience across ERP systems, whether through ERP management, business applications, business analysis or ERP project delivery
  • Background in a supply chain, wholesale, distribution or manufacturing environment
  • Understanding of operational processes such as inventory management, stock transfers, warehousing, procurement or order fulfilment
  • Someone comfortable balancing day-to-day systems support with improvement initiatives and longer-term projects
  • Experience working with business stakeholders to translate operational requirements into practical technology solutions
  • Exposure to external vendors, developers or implementation partners
  • Strong communication skills, a practical approach to problem-solving and the ability to take ownership

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP, Dynamics NAV, Business Central or other ERP platforms
  • Experience managing or supporting ERP applications following implementation or go-live
  • ERP transformation, upgrade or implementation project experience
  • Exposure to ERP integrations, data management or reporting tools
  • Experience in a multi-warehouse or inventory-led business

If you’re an ERP professional looking for a broad role that combines systems ownership, business process improvement and future transformation, this is an opportunity to take on genuine responsibility within a growing organisation.

Whether you’re currently managing business applications, delivering ERP projects or working as an ERP Business Analyst, the key is having the practical understanding to bridge technology and operations and take ownership beyond project delivery alone.
