Most activation roles focus on execution. This one gives you the opportunity to shape the plan as well. You'll work at the intersection of Marketing, Sales, Technical and Field Teams, helping shape how one of Australia's most recognised paint brands engages professional customers across the country.
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, Trade, you'll lead Trade Activation across Australia, developing the programs, tools and customer experiences that help drive customer acquisition and retention, increase share of wallet, grow customer loyalty, specification and business growth. You’ll partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Product and Technical teams, lead customer events, develop lead capture and nurture programs, and coach a dedicated Channel Activation Specialist.
You’ll help shape what's next. PPG has invested heavily in its Trade business and has ambitious plans for 2027. This isn't about maintaining someone else's playbook. It's about helping build it. We're looking for someone who can bring fresh thinking, challenge traditional approaches and help elevate activation from execution-focused delivery to a more strategic, insight-led and commercially impactful function.
Your role isn’t to build awareness from scratch. It’s to help more painters, builders, architects, designers and specifiers choose it, specify it and stay loyal to it. You’ll join a team that's big on ideas and low on ego. The expectations are high. The conversations are honest. The thinking is commercial. And people are encouraged to challenge ideas, test new approaches and make things better.
You’ve likely built your career in:

- Customer Marketing
- Category Management
- Commercial Marketing
You know how to influence stakeholders. You know how to bring people on the journey. You know how to turn strategy into execution. Experience within paint, coatings, hardware, construction or building products will be highly regarded. It's not essential. We’re more interested in people who can build relationships, understand customers and deliver results.
