Reporting to the Clayton EHS Manager, you'll play a key role in driving continuous improvement across environment, health and safety performance while supporting the site's commitment to operational excellence and regulatory compliance.

Working closely with site leaders, operational teams, corporate stakeholders and regulatory authorities, you'll help embed best-practice EHS standards into everyday operations and contribute to PPG's vision of an injury-free workplace.

Part advisor. Part investigator. Part change champion. 100% focused on protecting people and the environment.

  • Drive meaningful environmental outcomes through projects focused on sustainability, waste reduction, energy efficiency and environmental compliance.
  • Partner with leaders across the business to influence safety culture, operational performance and continuous improvement.
  • Lead investigations, audits and risk assessments that strengthen site performance and reduce risk.
  • Work with a global leader backed by world-class safety standards, systems and resources.

  • Build long-term career opportunities within a global organisation committed to safety, innovation and sustainability.

Where you'll create impact:

You'll support the ongoing success of our Clayton manufacturing site by helping ensure our EHS systems, processes and culture continue to evolve and improve. You'll do this by:

  • Supporting the implementation of site EHS policies, systems and programs that drive compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Maintaining environmental and safety compliance across licences, permits, accreditations and legislative requirements.
  • Leading and supporting EHS audits, inspections and risk assessments to identify opportunities and improve performance.

  • Partnering with operational leaders and frontline teams to strengthen safety engagement and accountability.
  • Managing EHS reporting and compliance obligations including regulatory and corporate requirements.
  • Coordinating EHS training programs to ensure employees have the knowledge and capability to work safely.
  • Supporting continuous improvement of the site's EHS Management System in alignment with PPG's global standards.
  • Contributing to broader ANZ EHS initiatives and projects as part of a collaborative regional safety team.

  • You're passionate about creating safer workplaces and influencing positive change.
  • You enjoy building relationships and working alongside leaders, operators and frontline teams.
  • You're naturally curious and enjoy identifying risks, solving problems and driving improvements.
  • You're confident navigating complex compliance requirements while keeping people at the centre of your approach.
  • You can balance strategic thinking with hands-on involvement in day-to-day site activities.
  • You take ownership, follow through on commitments and consistently look for better ways of working.

What you'll bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Science or a related discipline.
  • Practical experience within an EHS, Safety, Environmental or Risk Management role.
  • Exposure to a manufacturing, industrial, chemical, engineering or operational environment will be highly regarded.
  • Sound understanding of relevant workplace health, safety and environmental legislation.
  • Experience conducting audits, investigations, risk assessments and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
