Job Description
This role is a mix of local, office and field-based work and involves national travel on a project-to-project basis.
Successful candidates will need to demonstrate strong theoretical and practical knowledge.
Main responsibilities include but are not limited to
- Commissioning and testing HV protections systems.
- Commissioning and testing HV Plant.
- Commissioning and Testing Power Generation Systems.
- Protection Relay Testing.
- HV Primary and secondary system testing in a substation environment.
- Assist in preparation of commissioning/testing documentation, test plans and create detailed technical reports on completion of works.
- Carry out JSHAs etc. prior to commencing any new works to identify hazards and implement the necessary controls.
- Knowledge of HV/LV Transformer Testing (i. e. Tan Delta/Turns Ratio/SFRA/Dirana/Voltage Ratio/Winding Resistance, Oil Sampling)
Experience, skills and qualifications
- Unrestricted NT Electrical Fitter and Mechanic Workers License.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- HV Switching Ticket preferred.
- Knowledge of appropriate Australian Standards.
- Proven ability meeting project quality, schedule, and budget requirements.
- Ability to promote a high standard of safety, professionalism, and effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
