Join our team at Power Tools Plus, a leading business in Central West NSW, as a full-time Delivery Truck Driver. Based in Forbes and reporting to the Branch Manager, this role is integral to our operations, involving the delivery of steel orders and bulky items to a diverse customer base across urban and rural areas. You will play a crucial role in ensuring timely delivery and providing exceptional customer service, both on the road and in-store.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate long distance & multi drop delivery runs in collaboration with the Steel Manager.
- Safely load, restrain and unload steel and bulky goods using forklift and Hiab.
- Comply with Chain of Responsibility and fatigue management requirements.
- Complete delivery paperwork and represent the business professionally on site.
- Pick and prepare orders, maintain the steel yard, and assist in-store when not on the road.
- Maintain the steel shed and yard to uphold safety and cleanliness standards.
- Assist customers in locating merchandise and making purchasing decisions.
- Process transactions accurately using our point-of-sale (POS) system.
Requirements:
- Current MR Licence with a clean driving record, plus Forklift Licence.
- Truck driving experience, ideally regional or long distance.
- Sound knowledge of load restraint and able to perform regular manual handling.
- Able to work long days and every second Saturday morning.
- Reliable, independent and customer-focused.
Preferred:
- HR Licence and Hiab/loader crane experience.
- Experience in steel, trade or rural supply.
