Join the team at Poulos Bros Seafoods as a part time or full time Fish Scaler / Filleter based in Pyrmont, NSW. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the skilled scaling and preparation of a variety of fresh seafood to the highest quality standards.
What you’ll be doing:
- Carefully scale, clean and prepare a range of fresh fish and seafood products to meet customer specifications and quality requirements.
- Maintain a high level of hygiene and sanitation in the food preparation areas.
- Follow all relevant food safety and quality control protocols.
- Work collaboratively with the broader production team to meet daily targets and business needs.
Working hours: 4am - 10am Mon - Fri part time or 4am - 1pm Mon- Fri plus Sat Morning fulltime.
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience working as a fish scaler or in a similar seafood production role.
- Strong knife skills and the ability to scale and fillet fish and prepare seafood to a high standard.
- Good eye for detail and commitment to maintaining quality and food safety standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and meet daily production targets.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and equipment.
This role could suit someone currently on a restricted visa eg Student Visa.
