This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the regulatory reporting function at Police Bank and play a key role in strengthening our prudential reporting framework.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you'll lead the timely, accurate and complete submission of regulatory returns to APRA, while providing trusted subject-matter expertise across prudential regulation, capital, liquidity and regulatory change. You'll also lead and develop one direct report, helping build capability and resilience within the function.
What will you be doing?
Leading the end-to-end preparation, review and submission of APRA regulatory returns through APRA Connect.
Ensuring regulatory submissions are accurate, complete and delivered within required timeframes.
Monitoring changes to APRA prudential standards, reporting standards and regulatory guidance.
Assessing the impact of regulatory changes and leading their implementation across the Bank.
Maintaining strong governance, reconciliation, documentation and control frameworks.
Owning and enhancing the Regnology Agile Reporter platform from a Finance perspective.
Identifying opportunities to improve reporting automation, efficiency and data quality.
Partnering with Finance, Risk, Treasury, Credit, Data, Technology and Compliance teams.
Providing technical advice and presenting regulatory developments and reporting outcomes to senior leaders
Supporting internal and external audit requirements relating to regulatory reporting.
What are we looking for?
You're an experienced regulatory reporting professional with strong technical knowledge and the confidence to lead a critical function within a regulated banking environment.
Ideally, you will bring:
A degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
A CA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification.
Eight to ten years' experience in banking regulatory reporting.
Strong knowledge of APRA prudential and reporting standards applicable to ADIs.
Experience implementing new prudential standards and regulatory reporting requirements.
A sound understanding of capital adequacy, liquidity, credit risk and financial reporting frameworks.
The ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and translate them into practical reporting solutions.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
Demonstrated leadership and people management experience.
Experience with Regnology Agile Reporter, Ultradata, TechnologyOne, regulatory reporting transformation or reporting automation would be highly regarded. Experience within a mutual bank, credit union or ADI would also be beneficial
