The Role:
The Accounts Receivable Clerk plays a critical role within the ANZ Finance team, providing support across Accounts Receivable operations for Australia and New Zealand. The role is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of customer payments, account reconciliations, collections activities, and resolution of customer account issues.
A key objective of this position is to support the stabilization and standardization of the ANZ Accounts Receivable function, assist with process improvement initiatives, and facilitate the transfer of AR knowledge and processes to the Shared Services team. The role requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
What you'll be doing:
- Review and monitor customer credit limits in accordance with company policies
- Assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of AR policies and procedures
- Support month‐end close activities, including account reconciliations, reporting and provision for doubtful debt calculation
- Investigate and resolve unapplied cash, allocation discrepancies, and customer account queries
- Assist with UAT testing, process documentation, and ERP system improvements
- Maintain accurate customer master data and ensure compliance with data governance requirements
- Escalate collection risks, disputed balances, and potential bad debts to management
- Support internal and external audit requests relating to Accounts Receivable
- Collaborate with Shared Services, Sales, Customer Experience, and Finance teams to improve AR processes and controls
- Reconciliation of all processed rebates to General Ledger
- Credit limit and warranty rates updates as required
- Responsible for knowledge transfer of AR tasks to Accounting Shared Services team in line with agreed Project timelines
- Ensure data governance requirements are met as per the company framework
What we are looking for:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in an Accounts Receivable or Credit Control role
- Experience working with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Strong reconciliation and problem‐solving skills
- Solid understanding of credit management principles and collections processes
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and implement solutions
- Experience working in a shared services environment would be advantageous
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
