A leading Australian bank is seeking an experienced
Senior Engineer to support the delivery, enhancement and ongoing optimisation of its contact centre technology environment.
This role will focus on platforms including Verint and Avaya, ensuring reliable, scalable and high-performing solutions that support customer experience and operational efficiency.
Working closely with technology teams, business stakeholders and vendors, you will contribute to the engineering, integration and continuous improvement of critical contact centre systems within a complex banking environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Engineer, configure and enhance contact centre technology solutions across Verint and Avaya platforms.
- Support the integration of contact centre applications with enterprise systems and supporting technologies.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues, conduct root-cause analysis and implement effective resolutions.
- Contribute to platform upgrades, technical changes, system enhancements and ongoing service improvements.
- Collaborate with architecture, infrastructure, application and operations teams to deliver robust technical solutions.
- Ensure solutions align with enterprise technology standards, security requirements and operational resilience expectations.
- Work with business stakeholders and vendors to translate requirements into practical engineering outcomes.
- Support technical documentation, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across the contact centre environment.
Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated experience in a Senior Engineer or similar technical engineering role within a complex enterprise environment.
- Strong hands‑on experience with Verint and Avaya contact centre technologies.
- Experience supporting, configuring, integrating and troubleshooting contact centre platforms.
- Understanding of contact centre architecture, telephony, voice infrastructure and associated enterprise integrations.
- Experience working across large-scale, business‑critical technology environments, ideally within financial services or banking.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to work across technical and business teams.
- A proactive approach to engineering quality, platform stability and continuous improvement.
