The Role
Plus617 is seeking a hands-on People & Culture Lead to help build a cohesive, values-driven, and high-performing culture across our diverse group of businesses.
This is not a “sit-back-and-manage” role — we’re looking for a doer. You’ll be the driving force behind people strategy and execution, directly managing recruitment, engagement, compliance, and leadership capability across the group.
You’ll work closely with senior leadership to strengthen culture, develop frameworks, and enhance how we show up as an employer of choice. This is a rare opportunity to help shape the people and culture foundations of a growing, creative, and values-led group.
Key Focus Areas
End-to-end HR delivery: Recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management across multiple entities.
Culture & leadership: Embed shared values, behavioural standards, lead and execute succession planning, and leadership development programs.
Employer branding: Lead initiatives to enhance Plus617’s and the BUs’ reputation as an employer of choice.
Policy & compliance: Maintain HR policies, ensure legal compliance, and implement a group-wide HR framework.
Engagement & wellbeing: Design and deliver programs that foster open communication, recognition, and positive workplace culture.
Systems & reporting: Establish simple, effective HR processes and track metrics that drive better decision-making.
About You
7–10+ years’ HR experience in hospitality, tourism, or multi-entity environments.
Proven ability to build HR frameworks and personally deliver outcomes — from strategy to implementation.
Strong knowledge of Australian labour law, Fair Work, and HR compliance.
High emotional intelligence and a practical, grounded approach, with a collaborative spirit.
Culturally aware — comfortable working across Australian and global cultures.
