A fast-growing international fintech company providing flexible funding solutions to support SME growth. Originally launched in Australia, the business has expanded across APAC and Europe, building a high-performing, people-first team. The company has funded over 5B in loans and continues to scale rapidly, with strong recognition for its culture, diversity, and customer experience. This company has been recognized as Australia's #1 Best Workplace™ in Finance and Insurance for 2026, awarded by Great Place To Work

You’ll need to be based in Melbourne and have Australian work rights.

What You’ll Do

Lead complex employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary processes, performance issues, terminations and day-to-day manager guidance.

Spot employee relations risks and patterns, then turn them into practical advice for senior leaders.

Own office health and safety practices, including ergonomics, safety standards, incident reporting and follow-up.

Keep workplace compliance on track across regions, covering safety, anti-fraud, AML, privacy and confidentiality obligations.

Build and deliver learning and development initiatives and scalable training frameworks, while coaching managers through difficult people situations.

Support the broader PandC operation with recruitment activity, talent mapping, HRIS and payroll data accuracy, employee experience work and people reporting.

Who we’re looking for

You’ll likely be a hands‑on PandC generalist who is comfortable in the detail, trusted in tougher conversations and able to work independently without needing a large team around you.

Must‑Haves:

  • Around 3–5 years of HR or People and Culture experience, including at least 1–2 years operating at Manager Level or with equivalent ownership of day-to-day people matters.
  • Strong generalist HR/PandC capability with clear depth in employee relations.
  • Confidence leading investigations, performance management, disciplinary and termination processes, and coaching managers through those conversations.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, agile environment where you’ve covered a broad remit across ER, development, compliance and hiring support.
  • Experience delivering training or capability‑building initiatives, with the detail orientation to stay on top of compliance, safety and people data.

Nice‑to‑haves:

  • Experience in a regulated environment where privacy, AML, fraud or safety obligations matter.
  • Exposure to supporting leaders or employees across APAC or multiple regions.
  • Experience building frameworks or people processes that can scale as a business grows.

Even if you don’t tick every box, we still encourage you to apply to mindset matters more than experience.

About The Company

This is a Melbourne-based business with teams and leaders across APAC. The People and Culture function supports a regulated operating environment, so the work spans employee relations, compliance, safety and development across multiple regions.
