Hi, I’m Holly. I’m a speech pathologist with over 16 years of experience, a real passion for collaborative care, holistic support and a dream coming true around me - where I have created a clinic where both families and clinicians thrive. I’m still very much a clinician, seeing clients every week alongside our team, so this is a practice run by a therapist for therapists, not a business run from behind a desk.

I’ve built my experience as a holistic speechie working across all settings, throughout Australia, the UK, the Middle East and Africa, and I’ve spent time lecturing and supervising at university level, with a special love for AAC, complex communication needs, inclusion advocacy and supporting kids with big behaviours.

We’re a small, close-knit team of speechies (with our OT and Psych offer expanding now - exciting!), working from a Queenslander in Moorooka including a beautiful backyard - the families we support say ‘it just feels like home’. Our work is neurodiversity-affirming, play-based and family-centred. We think about the whole child and the whole family, and connection sits at the heart of everything we do, with families and with each other.

Are you looking for a team where your voice is heard and you’re valued as a person, not just a caseload? Do you feel like there’s a ceiling on your growth where you are now? Do you want to be part of a service you’re truly proud of, and excited to help shape?

At Playful Paediatrics, our Senior Speech Pathologists aren’t just filling a seat - they’re shaping the direction of our service, inspiring others through mentoring, and deepening their expertise in areas they’re truly passionate about. We believe therapy should help children and families thrive, not just in sessions, but in the moments that matter most at home, at school, in the community and in play.

Together, we provide playful, evidence-informed support for children aged 0–18. We’re a growing team of speech pathologists and occupational therapists, with our OT and psychology services expanding in 2027. We build real relationships with the children and families we work with, and connection, collaboration and clinical integrity sit at the heart of everything we do.

  • Quality over volume: We prioritise meaningful, relationship-based care over high caseloads, so you have the time and headspace to do your best work.
  • A real seat at the table: All clinicians help shape how we work, what we offer and where we grow next. Your ideas don't just get heard; they get acted on.
  • Room to grow: We actively support clinical leadership, mentoring and specialty areas, with a clear career pathway, leadership mentor program (valued at over $10,000) so you always know where you're heading and have the best support to thrive.
  • Seen as a person, not a number: Our team is warm, connected and supportive. People stay because they love the culture, not just the role.
  • Investment in your growth: You’ll get $2000 in annual PD funding (FTE) plus 3 paid PD days on top of your annual and personal leave, regular supervision with me, and a clear career pathway so you always know your next step.
  • Leadership & Mentoring: Opportunities to contribute to supervision, mentor other clinicians and help shape our clinical approach. You will have a real seat at the table – collaboration is my passion!
  • Remuneration: $100k–$130k + super, reflecting your experience and expertise, plus the option to earn more through our rewards program – if that is what motivates you.
  • Rewards Program (optional): Want to expand your impact on our community? You'll be rewarded for it, with the potential to earn more than $20k extra a year. It's there if it suits you, never an expectation.
  • A warm Home-like Clinic: A warm, home-like space designed for creative, playful therapy, including our much-loved backyard. Plus we are excited about a new, just as warm, purpose designed space to grow into in 2027 - exciting!
  • Work-Life Balance: We’ll support you to flex your hours for your ideal life when you have established your raving fans. Sustainable practice leads to better outcomes for everyone, including you.
  • Real Admin Support: Our client care team looks after scheduling, invoicing, enquiries and the day-to-day running of the clinic and coordination, so you can focus on your clients and your team.
  • Tools & Resources: Laptop, assessment tools, subscriptions, car allowance for community engagement and well-resourced clinic spaces.
  • Protected time, not stress: We expect great work, but not burnout. Your diary includes paid admin time for planning, notes and reports, plus protected non-client time each week for mentoring and supervision.
  • The little things (that are actually big things): A close-knit, collaborative team who genuinely look out for each other, daily shared lunches, a stocked kitchen with good coffee, tea and snacks, birthday and Christmas celebrations, team get-togethers throughout the year, and half-yearly team days to reconnect and learn together.

A qualified Speech Pathologist registered with Speech Pathology Australia with 7+ years of paediatric experience and experience at senior level required. Excited about continued development of our service – we are always looking to improve. Excited about growth (while never losing sight of our culture) and the new things ahead. You desire to be the best clinician and leader you can be. Passionate about neurodiversity-affirming, family-centred, and strengths-based practice. A warm, collaborative communicator who values connection and genuine teamwork. Someone who brings both clinical skill and heart to their work. Ready to contribute your expertise to a growing, purpose-driven practice.

You’ll work with children and families across a range of communication areas, bringing your clinical experience to deliver high-quality, meaningful therapy. Your days might include:

  • Delivering evidence-based, play-based speech pathology to children aged 0–18 across a range of areas of practice – Plus exploring and growing your areas of specialist interest.
  • Collaborating with families, schools, OTs, Psychologists, and other team members.
  • Delivering therapy in the clinic, at home, at school, or in the community.
  • Contributing to team learning, mentoring, and the ongoing development of our clinical service - help us continue to create a service that’s truly meaningful.
  • Lead training opportunities within our community to increase our impact and connection.

Everything you've read here is real. We're people first and culture driven, and that's never going to change as we grow.
