Our client is one of Australia’s leading real asset managers, investing across real estate and infrastructure on behalf of a broad institutional investor base. Its transactions team is growing, with a mandate spanning residential, healthcare and data centres.
They are looking to add a Senior Transactions Manager to the team, reporting to the General Manager, Transactions. This is a principal role with full ownership of each deal, from sourcing the opportunity through structuring, execution and eventual divestment.
You will originate acquisition and divestment opportunities, assess and structure transactions in line with fund and balance sheet strategies, and lead execution end to end, including due diligence and management of internal teams and external advisers. You will prepare investment papers and present to senior management and investment committee, then stay close to each asset post acquisition to drive performance and inform buy/hold/sell decisions.
We are seeking candidates with a proven track record of originating and executing transactions on the buy side, whether with an unlisted or listed fund, private equity firm or sovereign investor.
Candidates from transaction advisory backgrounds who have advised clients on acquisitions will also be considered. This role suits a principal investor rather than an agency background.
Tertiary qualifications in Property, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline are essential. Above all, our client wants someone who can find a deal, get it done and take ownership of it, looking for outperformance at every stage.
