We are working with a leading global investment bank that is looking to hire an Investment Banking Associate to join its Sydney-based Financial Institutions Group (FIG).

The team is involved in a broad range of transactions across the financial services sector, including public M&A, cross-border M&A, debt advisory and financing.

With a strong pipeline of live transactions and activity across a range of financial services subsectors, this is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and well-regarded team.

You will support the wider team across the full transaction lifecycle, including due diligence, financial modelling and valuation, preparation of pitch materials, client interaction and deal execution.

The role offers exposure to a diverse range of mandates, including public company mergers, sell-side M&A and financing transactions, with opportunities to work on complex transactions across Australia and New Zealand.

Candidates should have prior investment banking or M&A experience, with strong financial modelling, valuation and analytical skills.

FIG experience is not essential, and candidates from broader M&A or financing backgrounds will also be considered.

The team is looking for someone commercially minded, technically strong and keen to take ownership and contribute within a collaborative environment.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing team with strong deal flow, meaningful transaction exposure and an excellent culture.

The team places a genuine emphasis on maintaining a sustainable working environment, with manageable hours during the week and very limited weekend work.

You will gain hands-on experience across a varied range of transactions while working alongside experienced bankers in a supportive team.
