Platinum Medical Imaging is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to perform high-quality ultrasound examinations in a fast-paced outpatient imaging environment. The Sonographer will be responsible for producing diagnostic-quality images, ensuring patient comfort and safety, and collaborating with radiologists and referring providers to support accurate diagnoses.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Duties
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations including:
- Abdominal
- OB/GYN
- Vascular
- Small parts
- Musculoskeletal
- Prepare and position patients for procedures.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal image quality.
- Recognize and document normal and abnormal findings for radiologist review.
Patient Care
- Explain procedures and address patient questions or concerns.
- Ensure patient comfort, dignity, and confidentiality.
- Follow infection control and safety protocols.
Documentation & Reporting
- Accurately document patient information and technical findings.
- Upload images and relevant notes to PACS/RIS systems.
- Maintain clear communication with radiologists regarding exam quality and findings.
