Enjoy sales but prefer building relationships over chasing cold leads? In this role you’ll work with business owners who already know and trust the lender. You’ll help them access more funding as their businesses grow.
About our client
Our client is one of Australia’s original alternative small business lenders. They have funded more than $2.3 billion and helped over 20,000 businesses. They offer secured and unsecured business loans up to $2 million+, often funded within 24 hours. They also operate in the UK and US. Fast decisions, real relationships and a human approach to lending are what they’re known for, both with customers and with their own people. More than half their customers come back to borrow again. The leadership team is strong, the culture is collaborative, and many of the team have been there for years. Thanks to steady growth, they’ve just moved into brand new offices in Parramatta.
The role
You’ll look after a portfolio of existing business customers. Your job is to stay in touch, understand where their business is heading, and spot when more funding could help. You’ll guide each renewal from the first conversation through to settlement.
What you’ll be doing
- Reaching out to existing customers to find renewal and additional funding opportunities
- Managing your own customer portfolio and building long‑term relationships
- Understanding each customer’s needs and recommending the right lending solution
- Managing renewal applications from first contact through to settlement
How success is measured
- Monthly renewal funding volume
- Customer retention and renewal conversion
- Customer engagement and pipeline activity
- Revenue from existing customers
About you
You don’t need years of lending experience, but you should be comfortable with targets and talking to business owners. You’ll likely have:
- Some experience in sales, financial services, lending or customer relationship management
- Strong communication skills and confidence on the phone
- A proactive approach and the drive to hit targets
- The ability to manage several customers and deals at once
- Genuine interest in helping businesses grow
- Salesforce or CRM experience is a bonus but not essential.
What’s on offer
- Up to $70,000 + super to start (dep on exp)
- Room to grow your salary as you develop, with pay that compares well against competitors
- Brand new Parramatta office, close to public transport
- One day a week working from home
- A collaborative team where people stay long term
- Strong, supportive leadership
- Hands-on experience across the full business lending process
