About Pile Group: Pile Group is an established Victorian piling business delivering end-to-end foundation solutions across residential, commercial and civil construction projects. With our own state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Carrum Downs and experienced installation teams, we manufacture, supply and install steel screw piles throughout Victoria.
About the Role: You'll work alongside our experienced piling operators, assisting with the installation of steel screw piles and general site operations. This is a hands-on, physically active role involving machinery, equipment, site preparation and installation work. As you develop your skills and experience, you'll have the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities, including operating machinery, coordinating site activities and eventually assisting in leading a piling crew.
Working arrangements:
- Casual employment with opportunities for regular ongoing work
- Predominantly Monday to Friday
- Occasional Saturday work when required
- Some regional projects requiring overnight stays away from home
- Work across Melbourne and regional Victoria
What You’ll Be Doing: Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Assisting operators with the installation of steel screw piles
- Preparing and setting up equipment on construction sites
- Handling and positioning steel piles and installation equipment
- Assisting with pile set-out and site measurements
- Cutting steel piles using grinders and other equipment
- Assisting with excavation, drilling and general site preparation
- Loading and unloading machinery, tools and materials
- Maintaining tools, equipment and machinery
- Completing basic site documentation and installation records
- Keeping work areas clean, organised and safe
- Working closely with operators and other crew members to complete jobs efficiently
