Picton Psychology is an established private psychology practice that has been supporting the Wollondilly and Macarthur communities since 2013. We are a multidisciplinary team committed to providing ethical, evidence-based and client-centred mental health care within a supportive and collaborative practice environment.
With established referral pathways and continued demand for our services, we're looking for another experienced clinician to join our team.
About the role
We are seeking a Registered or Clinical Psychologist, Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, or experienced Clinical Counsellor/Psychotherapist to join Picton Psychology as an independent contractor. This is a flexible private practice opportunity offering 1β4 consulting days per week, making it suitable whether you're looking to add one or two private practice days alongside an existing role or establish a larger private practice caseload with us.
Earn 60β75% of professional fees. We offer a tiered contractor model, with the percentage increasing according to your regular consulting commitment and the level of practice support provided. This gives you the flexibility to choose the arrangement that best suits the way you'd like to practice. You'll also have flexibility around your consulting days and hours, caseload size, clinical interests and the types of referrals you accept.
What you'll be doing
Our clinicians provide a broad range of services, including:
- Psychological assessment, formulation and evidence-based intervention
- Adult and adolescent therapy
- Anxiety, mood and stress-related presentations
- Trauma and PTSD
- Workcover and SIRA
- Relationship therapy
- Collaboration with GPs, psychiatrists, and allied health professionals
What we're looking for
Registered or Clinical Psychologists with current AHPRA registration, Accredited Mental Health Social Workers with current AASW accreditation, Clinical Counsellors or Psychotherapists with appropriate PACFA registration and relevant clinical experience.
Youβll also:
- Hold appropriate professional indemnity and public liability insurance
- Hold, or be eligible for, relevant provider numbers applicable to your profession and services
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to ethical, evidence-based and client-centred practice
- Be comfortable working independently while also valuing access to a supportive multidisciplinary team
- Have strong communication, clinical documentation and organisational skills
Private practice experience is welcome but not essential.
What we offer
- Established referrals: Benefit from strong referral networks across Wollondilly and Macarthur, with our admin team managing enquiries and intake to help build a caseload aligned with your interests.
- Flexibility & autonomy: Work 1β4 days per week, with flexibility around your days, hours, caseload, clinical interests and telehealth.
- Administrative support: Access established practice systems and administrative support, with the level of support tailored to your contractor arrangement.
- A supportive team: Work independently while having access to an experienced multidisciplinary team for peer consultation, collaboration and professional support.
Interested? Come and meet us. Whether you're looking to add one day of private practice or build a larger caseload, we'd be happy to have a confidential, no-pressure conversation. You're also welcome to come in, meet the team and see the practice before deciding if Picton Psychology is the right fit.
