Join a well-established Australian-owned national manufacturer specialising in ducting, tubing and piping solutions across the Commercial, Industrial, Civil, Mining and Infrastructure sectors. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Factory Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of their Western Sydney Head Office. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing leader looking to take ownership of a busy factory operation and make a genuine impact on productivity, safety, quality and team performance.
About the Role
As Factory Manager, you will oversee the daily workshop operations, working closely with management, section foremen, sales and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and on time. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and supporting a large factory/workshop team
- Overseeing daily production and workshop operations
- Monitoring workflow, productivity and job completion
- Coordinating with section foremen to ensure projects meet required standards and deadlines
- Ensuring compliance with WHS/OH&S policies and procedures
- Identifying and resolving operational issues
- Coordinating machinery maintenance, repairs and servicing
- Managing stock, materials, consumables and workshop requirements
- Coordinating daily deliveries and pickups
- Working closely with management and sales to meet production schedules
- Communicating with clients when required to ensure expectations are met
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity and processes
- Maintaining a professional, safe and productive workplace
About You
We are looking for a hands-on manufacturing leader who can confidently manage a large team and keep a busy factory operation running smoothly. You will ideally have:
- Previous management experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Experience working with WHS/OH&S requirements
- The ability to work effectively with management and internal stakeholders
- A practical, solutions-focused approach
- A current forklift licence is preferred
