To be successful in this application, it is essential you have/are:
- Ensuring the highest attention to detail is taken at all stages of the cooking process
- Prepare and cook food in a timely manner
- Strong communication skills, receptive to feedback
- Maintaining a high level of cleanliness and organisation
- At least two years' experience in a similar role
- Fully qualified as a chef
As a Demi chef, you would be responsible for:
- Preparing, cooking and serving food in accordance with menus ensuring high level of quality and presentation is achieved at all times according to agreed standards
- Keeping abreast of current food trends and techniques
- Overseeing the appropriate receiving and storage of food ingredients
- Fostering a sound relationship with kitchen and front of house staff
- Maintaining kitchen equipment and plant in good condition
- Maintaining HACCP procedures and practices
