Love hospitality? Love wine country? Come and lead our restaurant team in the heart of the Hunter Valley.

At Restaurant Cuvee, we're all about good food, great wine and even better people. We're looking for a Restaurant Manager to bring energy, warmth and a little sparkle to our restaurant, someone who lights up a dining room and brings out the best in a team.

The role

You'll be the heart of our restaurant, leading a friendly team, looking after our guests and making sure every visit feels special. You'll work side by side with our chefs and marketing team, and you'll have plenty of room to put your own stamp on things. One day you're on the floor charming guests at a busy Saturday lunch, the next you're planning a menu update or a seasonal promotion.

What you'll get up to

  • Leading a team you're proud of: hire, train, roster and coach a great bunch of people, celebrate their wins and help them grow

  • Creating "wow" moments: set the tone for warm, polished service and turn feedback into even better experiences

  • Keeping the restaurant humming: opening and closing, stock and ordering, equipment and the rhythm of service, even on the busiest days

  • Making every table count: manage bookings and seating so guests are well looked after and the restaurant makes the most of every service

  • Keeping an eye on the numbers: look after the budget, track sales and costs, and use smart pricing and promotions to grow revenue

  • Shaping the menu: team up with our chefs to create dishes guests rave about, with an eye on quality and cost

  • Spreading the word: work with our marketing team on events, offers and loyalty ideas that bring people through the door

  • Keeping things safe and compliant: uphold food safety, hygiene and licensing standards, including RSA

  • Building great supplier relationships: negotiate, collaborate and find the best local partners

You might be our person if you…

  • Proven experience in a restaurant management or senior hospitality/supervisor role

  • Lead with warmth, positivity and a calm head when things get busy

  • Feel comfortable with budgets, costs and reporting

  • Are genuinely passionate about food, wine and making people feel welcome

  • Communicate clearly and love bringing people together

  • Hold your RSA and Food Safety certification (or are happy to get)

  • Have used reservation and POS systems

  • Can work weekends, public holidays and event periods

  • Salary will be negotiated based on experience

Why you'll love it here

  • A beautiful vineyard setting you won't mind coming to every day

  • A well-loved Hunter Valley business with a cellar door, weddings and events and wine club

  • A real say in the menu, the guest experience and where the restaurant goes next

  • Discounts on Peterson House and other companies within our family products and dining experiences
