We're working with a highly regarded Gold Coast boutique firm with an established property and commercial practice, an excellent client base and a genuinely lovely group of (ex top tier) Partners and senior lawyers.
The firm is growing and looking to appoint a commercial property lawyer with approximately 3β7 years' PAE who can take ownership of property transactions and commercial leasing matters, while continuing to develop alongside experienced practitioners.
The work
There is a substantial volume of commercial and retail leasing work, acting for both landlords and tenants, alongside a broader mix of commercial property matters, including:
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial and retail leases, agreements for lease, assignments, variations and related documentation.
- Commercial property acquisitions and disposals, including contracts, due diligence and settlements.
- Advising clients on property transactions, leasing arrangements and related commercial issues.
- Exposure to more complex property transactions and property development work as your experience grows.
You'll have direct client contact and genuine ownership of your matters, with excellent senior support when you need it.
Why consider this firm?

The Partners are approachable, supportive and genuinely invested in developing their lawyers.

You'll have autonomy to run your own matters, while working closely with experienced property and commercial lawyers who will help you continue developing.
Importantly, your career doesn't have to remain confined to property transactions and leasing.
As you develop, there is potential to broaden your experience into property development, more complex transactions and, longer term, commercial and corporate work.

You'll ideally bring
- 3β7 years' PAE in property law, with strong commercial property and leasing experience.
- Experience managing commercial property transactions and drafting and negotiating commercial and retail leases.
