THE ROLE
Reporting to the General Manager, Systems and Organisational Development, you will be the right hand to an experienced, hands-on leader.
You will join a small, high-impact team that works closely with People & Culture leadership, IT Business Applications and an external IT partner.
This is a business-led role, not an IT role, with roughly 70% of the focus on People & Culture and operations and 30% on technology.
You will lead the optimisation of Oracle HCM across recruitment, core HR, performance, talent, reward and learning.
That means translating business requirements into practical solutions and coordinating subject matter experts through testing and rollout.
You will act as the HR SME on payroll systems integration and assess whether the Oracle HCM recruitment module can deliver end-to-end screening and onboarding.
You will also automate transactional processes, grow manager and employee self-service, refine reporting and dashboards, and facilitate workshops that bring IT, P&C and frontline operations together.
The role is based in the Sydney CBD on a hybrid arrangement, with three days in the office and two from home, and offers a clear pathway into broader leadership over time.
THE CRITERIA
To be successful in this role, you will bring a strong HR generalist background with breadth across business partnering, organisational development and systems implementation.
We are looking for someone who has proven experience running programmes across both OD and Systems.
You will have been the HR SME on at least one or two HR systems implementations, ideally Oracle HCM or a comparable enterprise platform.
You can talk workflows confidently and explain technical concepts in plain language to HR and business users.
You bring a commercial, fit for purpose mindset and a strong employee experience lens, with a focus on making things simple for frontline teams and people leaders.
Experience from commercial sectors such as technology, banking, finance, logistics or aviation is essential.
