We are seeking an experienced
Project Manager to lead the delivery of business-critical projects within a highly visible transformation portfolio.
This role is ideally suited to a Project Manager who enjoys working at the intersection of business, stakeholders, and delivery teams, rather than being deeply technical.
Working closely with senior business leaders, external partners, and internal delivery teams, you will be responsible for driving initiatives from planning through to implementation, ensuring outcomes are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to strategic objectives.
You will also be supported by an experienced Project Manager within the team.
About the Role
This is a business-focused Project Manager position where strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills are critical.
While you will work alongside technology teams and require an understanding of how systems, platforms, and business processes connect, this is not a hands-on technical role.
Coding, infrastructure, architecture, or deep technical expertise are not required.
A significant component of the role involves working with external banking partners, making exceptional communication, negotiation, and influencing skills essential.
The successful candidate will be comfortable navigating commercial discussions, reviewing agreements, asking the right questions, and managing partner relationships to achieve successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of strategic business and transformation initiatives.
- Manage project planning, timelines, risks, issues, dependencies, budgets, and stakeholder communications.
- Engage and collaborate with senior business stakeholders, executives, and external partners.
- Drive outcomes across multiple business and technology teams.
- Facilitate discussions, workshops, and decision-making forums.
- Support governance and reporting activities, ensuring transparency and alignment.
- Identify and manage project risks while proactively implementing mitigation strategies.
- Ensure initiatives deliver measurable business value and positive customer outcomes.
About You
You are an experienced Project Manager with a proven track record delivering complex business change and transformation programs within large organisations.
You will bring:
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills.
- Experience managing relationships with external vendors, partners, or third-party organisations.
- Commercial acumen and the ability to confidently navigate contractual or agreement-based discussions.
- The ability to operate between strategic planning and delivery execution.
- Experience working with senior leaders and executive stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- An understanding of technology and digital delivery environments without needing deep technical expertise.
- Financial services or banking experience highly regarded.
- Exposure to governance frameworks and committee reporting would be advantageous.
If you're a relationship-driven Project Manager who thrives in stakeholder-rich environments and enjoys delivering business-focused transformation, we'd love to hear from you.
