Principal Advisor - Platform Design & Delivery (SAP Accounts Payable) | Global Mining Organisation | 12 Month Contract
We are seeking an experienced SAP Accounts Payable SME / Solution Architect to join a major enterprise transformation program. Working within a large-scale SAP S/4HANA environment, you will provide design leadership, architecture assurance, and functional expertise across Accounts Payable and Procure-to-Pay processes.
This is an opportunity to influence strategic technology decisions, partner with senior stakeholders, and ensure the successful delivery of a modern finance platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the design authority for SAP Accounts Payable solutions.
- Provide architecture oversight and design assurance for SAP S/4HANA finance capabilities.
- Review, challenge, and validate solution designs produced by delivery partners and system integrators.
- Ensure integration between SAP and associated platforms including invoice management and procurement solutions.
- Drive best-practice outcomes across AP, invoice processing, approval workflows, and vendor management.
- Support solution governance, risk management, security, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with business, architecture, delivery, and vendor teams to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions.
- Contribute to strategic roadmap planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
You are a senior SAP professional with a strong blend of functional expertise, architecture capability, and stakeholder engagement skills.
You will bring
- Extensive experience within SAP Finance, particularly Accounts Payable (FI-AP).
- Proven experience delivering or supporting SAP S/4HANA transformation programs.
- Strong knowledge of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and invoice management processes.
- Experience with OpenText Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) or similar AP automation solutions.
- Exposure to SAP Ariba, SAP Business Network, or procurement platforms.
- Experience reviewing and assuring solution designs from implementation partners.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence technical and business stakeholders.
- Experience operating at Lead Consultant, Architect, Principal Consultant, or Design Authority level.
