Lead the credit function for a well-established business. Temporary to permanent opportunity | up to $120k plus super (depending on experience). Fairfield location.
If you've been waiting for the right Credit Manager opportunity, this is one worth considering. Roles at this level rarely come to market, particularly within stable, established businesses where you can genuinely influence processes, commercial outcomes and customer relationships.
In this role, you will take ownership of the end-to-end credit and accounts receivable function while supporting sustainable business growth through effective risk management and customer engagement. Working within the Finance division and collaborating closely with sales and operational stakeholders, you will:
- Optimise collections, improve credit controls, minimise bad debt exposure, and ensure credit policies remain effective and compliant.
- Lead all accounts receivable and credit risk activities, including monitoring aged debt and driving timely collections.
- Manage credit assessments, evaluate applications and recommend appropriate credit limits and trading terms.
- Build and maintain effective credit, collection and risk management policies and procedures.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to identify and manage customer risk, account performance and credit exposures.
- Deliver outstanding customer service while managing escalations, negotiations and payment arrangements.
- Coach, develop and support team members while overseeing reporting, forecasting and KPI performance.
To be successful, you will bring proven experience in a Credit Manager or similar senior credit leadership role, along with strong knowledge of credit risk management, accounts receivable processes and relevant compliance requirements. A Bachelor’s Degree majoring in Finance and/or Accounting, along with an AICM qualification, particularly a Diploma of Credit Management, will be highly regarded. Strong stakeholder management skills, combined with the ability to lead, develop, and motivate a team, are essential.
