Full-Time On-site

$90,000 – $110,000 per year + superannuation

Great food gets people through the door. Great hospitality brings them back.

We’re looking for an experienced Venue Manager who knows how to deliver both: a restaurant guests love visiting and a team that takes pride in every service.

Part of an established national hospitality group, our Italian restaurant brings together quality food, warm service and the energy of a busy dining room. This is an opportunity to take ownership of its day-to-day performance, with support from the wider business.

About the role

You’ll set the pace on the floor, develop your team and keep a clear view of the numbers behind the service.

We’re looking for someone ready to make an impact from the outset, comfortable making operational decisions, addressing issues early and keeping standards consistent through a busy week.

You’ll work closely with the kitchen and group leadership, bringing practical ideas that improve the guest experience, strengthen the team and support business performance.

What you’ll take ownership of

Lead daily restaurant operations, keeping service organised, welcoming and attentive.

Recruit, coach and develop your team, with clear expectations and regular feedback.

Manage rosters and labour costs to match trading needs.

Monitor sales, stock, costs and venue performance, turning results into practical improvements.

Work closely with the Head Chef to keep the kitchen and floor moving together.

Handle guest feedback thoughtfully and build relationships that encourage repeat visits.

Maintain food safety, responsible service of alcohol, workplace safety and company standards.

Keep group leadership informed of results, priorities and support needs.

What you’ll bring

Proven experience managing a busy restaurant or hospitality venue.

Confidence taking responsibility for daily operations and team performance.

A sound understanding of budgets, P&L, rostering and labour control.

A leadership style that combines approachability with clear accountability.

The ability to read a room, support your team and stay composed when service gets busy.

Genuine enthusiasm for Italian food and thoughtful hospitality.

Availability across the restaurant’s trading week, including evenings and weekends.

Current RSA certification, or willingness to obtain the appropriate certification before commencing relevant duties.

$90,000–$110,000 + super, depending on experience.

A full-time leadership role within an established national hospitality group.

Ownership of day-to-day operations, with wider group support.

The opportunity to shape service standards, develop your team and see the impact of your decisions.

A role combining the floor, the people and the business giving an experienced manager plenty of scope to contribute.

Bring your hospitality instinct and your commercial know-how.

This recruitment process is being managed confidentially. Venue and brand details will be discussed with shortlisted candidates.

Applicants must have the right to work in Australia. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

Your application will include the following questions:

  • Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?
  • What's your expected annual base salary?
  • How many years' experience do you have as a venue manager?
  • How much notice are you required to give your current employer?
  • Have you worked in a role which requires a sound understanding of Food Safety Standards?
