Responsibilities
- Develop electrical designs, drawings, specifications and technical reports that support safe, reliable and efficient power systems.
- Conduct investigations, studies and detailed power system analysis across industrial, mining and utility projects.
- Manage project schedules and budgets, lead small teams and collaborate directly with clients.
- Support site data collection, equipment configuration, testing, troubleshooting and commissioning.
- Contribute to proposals and quotations, while coaching and mentoring junior engineers.
Experience
Essential
- A degree in Electrical Engineering and extensive experience in industrial power systems.
- Strong experience preparing design documentation, specifications, scopes of work and technical reports.
- The ability to manage small project teams and communicate confidently with clients, suppliers, contractors and other engineering disciplines.
- RPEQ registration, or currently working towards it.
- Permanent working rights in Australia.
Desirable
- Five or more years of power system analysis and design experience.
- Strong knowledge of relevant Australian Standards.
- Significant experience using PTW and/or ETAP.
- Experience designing industrial HV networks, protection systems, earthing and lightning protection.
- Experience across heavy industries.
Salary
140,000–160,000 per annum, depending on experience. You’ll join a permanent role offering varied technical projects, direct client exposure and opportunities to develop your leadership skills through project ownership and mentoring.
Location
Brisbane, Queensland — fully on site. Your work will combine office-based engineering and design with hands‑on involvement at project sites.
