Senior Python Developer

About the Role
We are looking for a talented Senior Python Developer to join a growing technology team building scalable software products and data-driven platforms.
You will work closely with product managers, software engineers and data specialists to design, develop and maintain high-quality applications. This is a hands-on role where you will have the opportunity to influence technical decisions and contribute to the ongoing evolution of the platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend applications using Python
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices
- Work with engineering and product teams to deliver new features
- Integrate internal platforms with third-party systems and services
- Develop automated testing and improve code quality
- Troubleshoot and optimise application performance
- Contribute to system architecture and technical design decisions
- Participate in code reviews and support engineering best practices
- Work with cloud infrastructure and modern CI/CD pipelines
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- 4 years of commercial software development experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Python
- Experience developing REST APIs and backend services
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
- Exposure to AWS, Azure or another major cloud platform
- Experience working with Git and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong understanding of testing and development best practices
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
