- Identifying practical improvements to processes
This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll gain exposure across a broad range of finance activities while being supported by an experienced team.
About You
You may be a Finance Officer, Assistant Accountant or similar finance professional looking to take the next step. Equally, you may be an experienced finance practitioner seeking a rewarding role in a welcoming regional community. You'll ideally bring:

- An understanding of budgets and financial controls
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Confidence communicating with people across an organisation
- Experience in a supervisory role
- The ability to manage competing priorities and take ownership
- A positive, collaborative approach and willingness to learn
Local government experience is advantageous but not essential. More important are strong finance foundations, sound judgement, leadership experience, and a genuine commitment to delivering quality outcomes. Experience with procurement, asset management, rates or working within a regulated environment will also be well regarded.
