In this role, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end solution design for complex, large-scale projects within a major tier-1 financial services environment. You will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical execution, designing robust, scalable, and secure real-time integration and data solutions around our core platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Design: Lead the scoping, architectural alignment, and end-to-end solution design for large-scale enterprise initiatives.
  • API-Led Architecture: Define and implement API-led architectures across multiple tiers (Experience, Capability, and Information APIs).
  • Integration Patterns: Develop modern integration patterns using API Gateways, Service Mesh, ESB/Middleware platforms, and Event-Driven Architectures (Kafka, messaging queues) to connect modern digital channels to legacy backend systems.
  • Governance & Standards: Design high-quality RESTful APIs ensuring strict adherence to enterprise governance standards (Swagger/OpenAPI, naming conventions, and lifecycle management).
  • Stakeholder Leadership: Lead technical solution discussions, conduct design walkthroughs, and collaborate closely with engineering teams and business stakeholders.
  • Documentation: Produce comprehensive, high-quality Detailed Solution Design (DSD) documentation.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Core Card Systems Expertise: Strong knowledge and hands-on solution design experience with VisionPLUS (or similar major Core Banking / Card Management platforms such as TSYS, Hogan, or Base24).
  • Tier-1 Banking Experience: Proven track record working as a Solution Designer within a major Australian bank or tier-1 financial institution.
  • Enterprise Data Platforms: Familiarity with enterprise data platforms, Data Mesh, or modern cloud data architectures.
  • Advanced Integration Skills: Deep expertise in real-time integration, asynchronous messaging, API gateways, and event-driven architectures (Kafka).
  • Communication: Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and articulate complex technical concepts clearly.

What's on Offer

  • Work on high-visibility, career-defining enterprise projects.
  • Collaborative, tech-forward, and supportive team culture.
