About the role
Patrick is seeking an experienced IT Delivery Manager to lead, oversee and execute IT Projects and Service Improvements. Reporting to Patrick’s Portfolio and Delivery Manager, this role will be required to focus on developing, implementing and maintaining standards, governance, and frameworks that facilitates successful delivery of projects and services to our stakeholders.
This role is a rare opportunity to influence how delivery operates long term rather than simply inheriting an already mature model.
This role is based at our Port Botany HO, with a hybrid working and flexible model.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Manage end-to-end deliveryof IT projects
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget
- Establish standardised delivery framework
- Oversee Business Analysts to support delivery success
- Manage project governance including plans, RAID, reporting, budgets, and dependencies
- Facilitate meetings, remove impediments and uplift delivery performance
- Coach team members and wider stakeholders on Agile principles and ways of working
- Act as Proxy Product Owner, owning backlog prioritisation and translating requirements into user stories
- Engage with stakeholders, lead workshops, support UAT and release activities
- Improve cross-project coordination and highlighting inter-dependencies
- Drive continuous improvement in processes, governance and supporting the implementation of key initiatives
- Work closely with key business stakeholders and external suppliers to support work delivery seamlessly.
About your skills and experience
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven experience establishing, implementing and governing delivery frameworks.
- Proven ability to switch between delivery leadership, coaching, and product ownership (of delivery tooling)
- Demonstrated delivery of business value/outcomes, not just on-time/on-budget delivery
- Comfortable leveraging AI-assisted planning, reporting, and risk-identification tools to reduce manual overhead
- Strong communication, governance, and prioritisation skills
- Calm judgement in high-pressure delivery situations
- Certified in SaFE, PMBok, Prince2
- Experience using Atlassian suite products
- Maintain a team focus, with willingness to work hands-on with a “can do” attitude.
- Able to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).
