Papinelle is looking for a creative and organised Design & Product Coordinator to join our Sydney team on a 12-month parental leave contract.
Working closely with our Head of Product and wider design team, you'll help bring each collection to life, from developing prints and artwork through to product development, fit sessions, samples and final range handover.
It's a hand-on role where creativity meets coordination, offering the opportunity to work across our seasonal collections, core range and exciting brand collaborations.
What you’ll be doing
- Bring designs to life – Develop prints, handlooms, product artwork and CAD lookbooks using Adobe Creative Suite.
- Support product development – Assist with fit sessions, garment measurements, fit comments and sample management to ensure every style is on track.
- Keep things moving – Manage supplier submissions, approvals and samples against critical timelines, following up on deadlines and flagging potential delays.
- Coordinate across the business – Work closely with Design, Product, Marketing, Wholesale and Accounts to ensure each collection is ready for market.
- Support range launches – Prepare product handover documents, wholesale samples, selling platforms and product information for our AU, NZ, USA teams and retail partners.
- Manage the details – Coordinate labels, packaging and gifting artwork, ensuring product and collaboration requirements are met.
What we’re looking for
- 3+ years’ experience in apparel design or product development, across sleepwear, intimates or womenswear.
- Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
- Hands‑on experience with garment fitting, reading specifications, measuring garments and providing fit comments.
- Understanding of print development, colour approvals and offshore supplier processes.
- Knowledge of woven and knitted fabrics, particularly silks, cottons and plush.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Confident with Microsoft Office and Google Sheets.
- A proactive, hands‑on approach and a genuine passion for product and design.
